- Bill's movie reviews -

Spanning parts of 1998, 1999 and 2000, I reviewed seventy movies in sixty-seven movie columns for The Daily Commercial.  If you like what you see, syndication could bring me out of retirement:)...

As I said in my "Movie Man Moving On" column (on my "Meet Bill Miller" page), it all started in July of 1998 with "The Truman Show," and stopped in 2000 with "Girl, Interrupted" (please, no Freudian theories as to why "Girl, Interrupted" was my last:).

"The Truman Show" was supposed to be practice, but it wound up in print.  From first to last, a style emerged and evolved.  I tried to do each movie justice, i.e. matching the quality of my review to the quality of the movie.

Dressed up to celebrate "A Year in Review"

My goal was to write a review that would give the reader a taste of the movie, an accurate flavor, and enough information so they could determine if it might be something they would like to see.  How well I did is up to you:)...

UPDATE 6/23/05: The list here is complete, but at the rate I'm going, I might not ever finish getting the actual reviews on here!  Just e-mail me if you want one that's listed but not linked... thanks!
