Graduation Donation Info

This page is for people who might be interested in making a donation in recognition of my graduation.  I chose three causes which are near and dear to my heart: helping fund a cure for paralysis, helping fund a cure for cancer, and helping fund the purchase of joy and empowerment for wheelchair users who would like to bowl with an IKAN Bowler but cannot afford one.

(1) Paralysis/Spinal Cord Injury Help: Dr. Stephen Davies' research is who I wish to fund.  He's doing amazing things in Colorado and I'm 99% certain he is NOT using embryonic stem cells.  If you want to read details about his research, click HERE for a long thread on the CareCure message board.  CareCure is a resource for paralyzed people and one of the members visited Dr. Davies lab, and the thread talks about arranging that visit, the information gleaned, and later in the thread Dr. Davies himself starts to answer people's questions.  Or just take my word for it that his research is worth donating to (he will be receiving money from me either on a regular basis or when I can donate).  Click HERE for his donation information.

(2) Cancer Help: cancer needs to be eradicated; it struck my family and can strike anyone.  I believe the American Cancer Society is a worthy recipient of donations, which should be income tax deductible.  Click HERE for their donation web page.

(3) IKAN Bowler Help: imagine being so physically limited that you require a power wheelchair.  We have injured Veterans and other deserving people for whom you could provide the joy of being able to physically compete and do something FUN on a level "playing field" with and/or against able-bodied bowlers or fellow wheelchair users.  It is empowering and therapeutic to have a social, recreational outlet in which a power wheelchair user can confidently participate.  These donations are NOT tax deductible, but the money will go toward either spreading awareness or actually purchasing an IKAN Bowler for donation.  Currently, an IKAN Bowler can be purchased for $599, and if you donate that amount, you can tell us exactly to whom you want to give the IKAN Bowler (someone you know specifically, a Veteran, a Veteran hospital, someone we learn of who is deserving but cannot afford the purchase price, etc).  You can send a check to my partner Vincent Tifer and I assure you it will be used as you wish, or as described above.
